Our Mission

At Pine Tree Elementary, we strive to have a shared partnership with staff, parents, students and the community to nurture the desire and curiosity to learn for all students,

• Students will be engaged in a strong curriculum across all content areas including the arts, technology and physical education, which will allow them to be creative problem solvers.
• The physical, social and emotional needs of students will be developed so they become productive citizens who are able to effectively communicate, interact and thrive in their daily lives.
• A safe and inviting environment will be provided for all students.
• Strong leaders who are responsible, show respect, perseverance and integrity in their daily work will be cultivated.

Meet the Principal

Welcome to Pine Tree Elementary. My name is Shelley Moyers and I’m the proud Principal. 

We have students in Kindergarten through fourth grade here at Pine Tree.

Our team is committed to serving the community.  Our teachers do an amazing job of preparing students for success in school. Students in grades one through four experience student centered learning. They are both excited and challenged by our rigorous curriculum.

Pine Tree offers an outstanding academic program, diverse learning community, and exceptionally dedicated staff. Our school community believes strongly in school-family collaboration. Parents are encouraged to take an active role in their child’s learning. We have a strong PTO that hosts several family events each year!  In addition to these fun events, they also work tirelessly to support the staff by volunteering and grant funding.

The Avon Community School Corporation is one of the best in Indiana. Pine Tree is proud to meet the high expectations and to take part in the many learning opportunities offered to insure your children have the best elementary experience possible. School Start- and End-Times

Morning drop-off occurs behind Pine Tree.  Follow the line of cars around the perimeter of the blacktop. Students exit AT THE SIDEWALK from the passenger side only. 

Afternoon pick-up also happens behind the building.  Parents are asked to park in the back parking lot and enter Door 11 on the east side of the building. All parents will be asked to present identification.
