STEM Achievers
In Avon Schools, we are committed to introducing students to Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) and to helping them learn the excitement of actively exploring and discovering these important fields of study.
This year, for the first time, STEM is one of the specials the 3,500 students in our six elementary schools get to experience each week.
On September 13, Principal Jarrod Gatlin and five brilliant students from Pine Tree Elementary presented some of their recent STEM experiences to the Avon Board of School Trustees. These active learners shared about what they learned in the process of constructing space capsules and dissecting worms, among other things.
Thank you, Mr. Gatlin and students, for sharing your excitement. Keep learning and growing!
